Well that’s it the end of the 2011/12 season.

Looking back on the friendly with South Shore pre- season we all felt this season we would make a mark. Unfortunately we didn’t leave the big mark we had hoped for.

Throughout the season we were always looking to strengthen the squad and we welcomed some new players whilst releasing some others. We would like to thank the ones who have left and wish you all the best in your future endeavours.

There were plenty of highs and lows (ok not so many highs!!).  For me last night’s second half performance, against Clifton, and the first half, at home,  against BJFF will stand out as the best of the season proving  you can match any team in the league. You absolutely battered them senseless!! You need to remember this and take that confidence forward into next season. As far as lows I think that has to be the away game at St Anne’s, enough said on that!!!

We will shortly be having a break in the season but not before the eagerly awaited game of the season   Lads V’s Parents. Boys can you cope with the lightning pace of Pete “I’m FC through and through me” Barnes? Or the silky skills of Colin “Jinky” Meyer? What about the goal scoring monster that is Steve “The Tornado” Law? Or that ferocious tackler Chris “Chopper Harris” Wright.  You need to worry, not about those old farts mentioned above, but remember we’ll have Maggie!!!

We can also let our hair down (sorry Pete and Colin you may struggle with that one!!) at the Presentation Night 5^th May hope to see all of you there.

We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents for the continued support over the season. For all those who helped over the season thank you to you too.

But an extra special thanks to :-

Jason for providing the boys with superb training kits and warm winter training jackets.

Diane and Colin for the phenomenal amount of admin work etc I know they put in keeping the team running.

And to Pete’s wife and Colin’s mum for providing us with toast and drinks on training days and also running the café, on match days too.

If I have missed someone or  got the above thanks in the wrong order I am truly sorry. Although I am sure you’ll make me pay on Sunday!

Already looking forward to next season.
