A Low Point!

To say we were disappointed with yesterday’s performance would be an understatement!!! After watching such brilliant performances over the last two weeks Warton were there for the taking. This is why, I think, we as a coaching team were upset because Warton were not better than us. We, when we play like we can, would have buried Warton before the end of the first half. To be fair however we did start with a different formation and the Ref was not best.

The fight and commitment had evaporated. We could see people physically backing off challenges.  How many times have we stated “knock and go” or “pass the ball” but yet you ignore our side-line coaching thinking you can take on the world. There were some glum faces on the bus going home, but strangely not from the boys!!!

However despite my condemnation of the team’s performance as a whole individually there were some sparks of light!! Man of The Match was Cameron Ledden who battled hard throughout the game, well done Cam.

Anyway as we always say it’s in the past now and we have to look forward! Hopefully we can provide a lot more of a gutsy performance against St Annes.
